Some days my belly feels huge and other days it feels really tiny. I'm not quite sure I'll be able to zip my coat up at the Broncos game on Sunday with wearing extra layers, so we'll see how that goes. It's definitely growing. It's still really fun to feel the baby flop around, and with the exception of today, it moves a lot! I didn't feel the baby a ton during the day but once I sat after my work day, I could feel it jumping around. This evening when I was doing dishes, I had to stand sideways so I could reach the sink without my belly hitting it. Mainly that's because of my shot bruises hitting the sink, which is a little painful.
I called the hematologist this week to see if she was going to test my blood so I could officially be diagnosed with whatever I have. To my understanding, I have to have three blood tests three months apart with elevated levels to officially have antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. This would be the month to test it. She said that she was going to treat me the same regardless, so there's no point in running it. I would have argued, but we just got new crappy insurance, and we have to pay out of pocket for everything until we hit the deductible, and then we have to pay 10% of everything until we hit our maximum. So I decided to let it go so I didn't have to pay for it! We have paid enough medical bills this past year, and we have a lot coming with having to do monthly ultrasounds.
I called and got a breast pump ordered because insurance will pay for one. I'm not really sure if it's going to be any good, but at least it's something. I don't know if I'm ready to be a milking machine, but I have some time ahead of me still.
Total Weight Gained: 12.5 pounds
Waist Size: 40.5 inches. I didn't actually start measuring this until today, but I think I started with a 36 or 27 inch waist. So it's definitely growing.
Sleep: Sleep has been better. Still feeling a little groggy throughout the day, but I think that's because work finally slowed down a bit, and I'm not sure I remember how to not juggle 800 things at one time.
Most Exciting Moment: We got the crib and dresser this week, and the night stand comes tomorrow. We won't put it together for awhile, but it's fun to have it! I also looked into having my glider reupholstered....not sure it's worth the $200 in labor and fabric. I'm still debating since I feel like it might be an extravagance. If I'm really that concerned about the color of it, I could always just throw a blanket over it. And yes, I'm sure that's what I'll be concerned about going on 2 hours of sleep. The color of the chair I collapse into. Perhaps I just made my decision. :)
Baby is the Size of a: Ear of corn. It's 8.5 inches in length and 1.5 pounds according to the website. It's also starting to hear really loud noises. I hope it has earmuffs for the Broncos game on Sunday!
Miss Anything? Wine. Although with the heartburn I feel now, I don't think I could drink it even if I was allowed.
