Little did I know that Monday and Tuesday were my last weekdays home with Hunter. The bakery is ramping up rapidly for the holidays, so starting Monday, he will be going to daycare full time. It makes me sad, but it's only 7 weeks and then we can go back to 3 or 4 days per week. This is definitely crunch time.
This week he started on baby food. I made butternut squash baby food, and he got that Wednesday morning. He was not a fan, but I mixed it with his cereal, and it was kind of a disaster. He ended up not really eating anything other than his milk that morning. I'm going to give it a try again this weekend. I did ask Kathleen to feed him baby food during the day, so she's been doing that for a couple of days. I think that works better. In the morning he gets his cereal, and then in the afternoon she gives him baby food.
He's also started lifting his head when he's in the high chair or stroller. Instead of just keeping his head back against the back of it, he lifts his head and strains his neck forward. It looks so uncomfortable, but whatever.
He's also a pretty exclusive tummy sleeper. Sometimes he'll stay on his side or back, but for the most part he's all tummy. Which is good and bad. Sometimes he starts whimpering in the middle of the night, but I'm not really sure what he wants/is doing. But if I go in there and flip him (because he's not great about turning over himself), then I have a process to get him back to sleep. But he did stop eating in the middle of the night finally, so at least we're past that for now!
