The first test was a practice implantation, where I had to drink 32 ounces of water 1 hour before my test and hold it. Then they threaded the tube into my uterus and made sure they knew where they exactly wanted it. He said it looked good. Next they did an ultrasound to test my blood flow in my uterus, and that looked good too. The final test was pretty uncomfortable where they put a scope in my uterus and looked around. It was not fun at all. However, again, they were happy with what they saw. So everything looks good and is ready for the implantation.
We met with the doctor and asked him if he had found a reason why we couldn't get pregnant, and unfortunately our infertility is still unexplained. Shamus' morphology (shape of the sperm) isn't consistently good, so that could explain some of it, but we don't think that's the sole reason. However, they don't know what the other reasons are. It's frustrating, but what can you do.
I'll start my period again at the end of April/beginning of May. When that happens, then I'll go on birth control for 2-3 weeks and then start giving myself shots again. We will get the implantation date soon after I start my period I believe, which should be in June.
Right now I'm trying to be normal again. It's nice to not have to wonder about embryos or think about when I'm ovulating. It's been a nice break from the mind game of infertility. I'll update the schedule when I get it. Until then, thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!
