I've always had an idea of what I would want a nursery to look like...and this isn't it! Ha! I always thought that I would want to do an under the sea theme, but then when it actually came time, it was kinda cheesy and I couldn't really conceptualize it in my head. So here we are. We went with a beach theme instead. Shocking, I know. Those of you who know me know that I love the beach and the ocean and everything. Also, since we don't know what we're having (only 10 more days till we meet the little one!), it was really easy to do grays and whites for now. If we bring home a girl, I'll pull more coral colors into it, and if we bring home a boy, I'll pull more blues and teals into the room.
By the way, I did ask Shamus before we started if he had an opinion on the theme of the nursery. He said Ohio State. Veto! At least I asked!
I got the little wood shelf/basket combo at Gordmans, and all those baskets have toys and teething toys and other stuff like that in it for now. I might keep snacks in it, too, for when I'm breast feeding.
The cute little suitcase that's holding the diapers is from my baby shower, and it's perfect. There's also some sea shells in it from the shower. I found the wall hooks at Gordmans (love them!), and the little stuffed animals are what we've received so far. Plus I have about 8 million stuffed animals in our crawl space from when I was a kid! The picture frame has part of my baby shower invite in it. I love that I could tie all these memories into the room!
