I'm feeling pretty good. My biggest symptom is being really tired. I can get 9+ hours of sleep, and I'm still tired after being awake for an hour or two. I'm trying to plan out our meals on the weekend and do any prep work in the morning so that there's not too much to do in the evening when I just want to lay on the couch. I don't want to make Shamus cook and clean up every night, even though he's willing.
I've also been freezing, which is pretty strange. I think it's a blessing because if I feel too hot, I will get sick. So I put on socks, sweatshirt, and sweatpants and sit under a blanket when it's 95 degrees outside. Shamus looks at me like I'm crazy, but it takes awhile for me to get warm.
I really haven't had to deal with any nausea up until breakfast this morning. I'm supposed to eat 70 grams of protein a day, so I tried to have scrambled eggs. I had to spit out a bite of them and then throw them away. I'm still not feeling great. Food seems pretty blah to me and I don't want anything to do with it up until the minute that I'm starving and feel like I have to eat immediately. It's very strange.
More importantly, the baby is the size of a pea! The jaw, cheeks, eyes, chin, ears, and nose are beginning to form as well as kidneys, liver, and lungs. Very important things are happening! The heart is beating 80 times/minute. Our ultrasound to hear the heartbeat is scheduled for next Tuesday at 9:30. We cannot wait!
