He was still crawling quite a bit until we went to Ohio, and he had to keep up with his cousin. He got in so much practice walking there, and now it's pretty rare that he crawls. We also never had shoes on him until he was about 13.5 months old. I'm pretty sure my most favorite video ever is the one of him having shoes on the first time. He was so confused about what was on his feet! He kept grabbing them, wouldn't let go, etc. It was hilarious.
Hunter still isn't talking real words yet, but he does make a lot of noises. He loves to point at things and make this crazy noise. It's almost like a drawn out yeeep or heeeep. When he does it, I sing "Help me Rhonda" because I think it sounds like the help. It's pretty cute. I definitely think he's storing the words in his brain, and then he's going to talk like crazy when it hits. He still really doesn't say mama or dada, but if he's mad then he'll babble mama or mom. Like when I'm changing his diaper. He hates it and gets so mad.
We are starting to get really good at following directions, too. If I tell him to sit down or sit on his bottom, he knows what I'm saying and can do it. And usually he will remember for next time. He also knows to put the lid on his cup. If I'm holding him while I'm refilling it, he wants to hold the lid and then will place it on top of the cup. Then I have to screw it on, but it was cool to me that he knew where that went. It's kind of funny that I'm proud of these little things, but it's not like he's 12 learning this. So I let myself be super proud.
