This week I've been feeling good but tired. Exhausted. Although that has everything to do with work and not much to do with being pregnant I think. I've worked late every night for the past two weeks, and I'm ready for a break. A nice, big break. I've gotten my appetite back, but we've been too busy to cook much. I think tomorrow might be a normal work day, so we are going to have meatloaf. We haven't had that in months and months. It's nice to feel like I can eat most things again. I've also been craving salads the last couple of days.
The belly is getting bigger, and I'm running out of room to do my shots. It's a bruised mess. I don't really feel like anything else is changing, but I also don't have much time to examine that. I cannot tell you how much I can't wait for next Thursday when I can take a breath!
I was supposed to have my 20-week ultrasound on Tuesday morning, but when I was 5 minutes away from the doctor's office, they called and cancelled due to the blizzard (after I had driven on the bad roads for 45 minutes). I'm not going to lie; I had 4 hours of sleep at best and so I had a quick meltdown and cried. We had it this afternoon instead, and everything is good! I asked about the lack of weight gain, and she said it was no problem since the baby was growing. We saw almost everything about the baby except the heart and face because of how it was laying. They also avoided the crotchal region since we want to be surprised. It was great to see legs, feet, arms, hands, head, brain, spine, bladder, kidneys, stomach, and pretty much everything else. They gave us pictures, but they are terrible. It's amazing that what we see on the screen is pretty clear, and then they print the picture and it looks like absolutely nothing other than a big blob. She said the baby was weighing 14 ounces.
The next doctor's appointment and ultrasound (where they want to see the face and heart, too) is scheduled for January 19th. I'll have an ultrasound every month since I'm on the Lovenox.
Total Weight Gained: Still 7 lbs
Sleep: Sleep is good, but I need more of it. I definitely need less working until 9 or midnight and more being in bed asleep at these times!
Most Exciting Moment: Feeling the baby move and kick! I felt the baby kick twice on Tuesday while I was sitting and decorating cookies. It was really cool!
Baby is the Size of a: Mango
Miss Anything? Having time to do things, but again, that has nothing to do with being pregnant.
