To compare, my friend is on hormone-replacement therapy. She's on patches and oral medication, too and is getting 0.6 mg/day of estrogen. When I'm on 4 patches, I'll be getting 2.4 mg of estrogen plus what I'm naturally making. So please be patient with me. I hope that it doesn't affect me, but I'm a little apprehensive. Oh the things we do to have a baby.
I feel like a walking medicine cabinet at times. With my dinner, I take a prenatal vitamin, DHA supplement, two vitamin D pills, folic acid, and baby aspirin (to prevent microscopic clots in the placenta). That's 6 pills with dinner. I've never been much of a pill taker, so that's a pretty big increase for me.
Thankfully the shots in my butt don't start until June 11th. That's a relief that I have a few more days before I have to do that! Other than the pills/shots, there's no drinking, no caffeine, no sugar, no sex, and trying to eat a healthy, balanced diet. Sounds like loads of fun, right?! Ha! It'll be worth it though. :)
