He went to the doctor this week for his 9-month checkup. He weighs 18 pounds, 6 ounces and is 28 inches long. He's still not a very big baby, and I think he's finally just starting to grow into his head. He still has a ways to go on that though.
On Wednesday, I had him playing on our bed while I was getting dressed. I had put him on his back, and then I looked back and he was sitting up. So he finally figured that out! He doesn't do it a lot, but it's happening. He's not great at getting from sitting to his belly unless he falls over, and then he's pretty mad. He's getting a little faster at his army crawl, and if he's on a mission to get something, watch out! Also, if you take something away from him (like a dog toy), he will scream at you. So you definitely have to replace it instead of just swiping it. Hunter is Mr. Grabby.
It seems like Hunter has settled into a pretty solid sleep routine for nights at least. Almost every night for the last week and a half, he has been asleep around 7 and sleeps until 6:45 or so, with one wakeup around 9 to eat. He's been sleeping through the night great, thankfully!
Last night, Shamus was playing with him and letting him stand and hold onto his walker toy. There were a few times where Shamus let go, and Hunter stood on his own for a little bit. I'm not ready for this. I still can't believe he's nine months old!
