First, we finally have a tooth! On Thursday morning, I could see a white tooth under the surface, and on Friday morning, it had broken through and I can feel it now. Thankfully it doesn't seem to be bothering Hunter. We will see how things progress with it as it gets taller. I'm really hoping he doesn't start biting me while he's nursing!
This week we also got a handle on Hunter eating solids, with a big thank you to Nana for that. He will finally not make a gross face when he gets something solid in his mouth. We started by putting little Puffs into his mouth, and now he'll put them into his own mouth, gum them, and swallow. He's also eating rice rusks and whole wheat bread. I feel like a whole new world has opened up! And I'm not so scared that he's going to choke now either.
He's still sleeping through the night and has been going to bed at the earlier time every night, which is great. However, this week he also has been getting up before 7, which means that he's more tired during the day. And it means that I'm more tired, too. I miss the days of sleeping until 7:15 or 7:30 even. I'm holding out hope that it's going to return.
He's also been having fun the last couple of weeks using his voice...which means screaming. Not mad or upset screaming, but hey! I can scream and hear myself screaming. It's kind of cute and kind of ear splitting. He's a total goofball!
It was fun having Nana and Papa here for the beginning of the week. We're always a little sad when they go home.
